Darren Till’s next fight in the works, as per Dana White

Darren recently, was recognized as the top UFC welter division contender. But presently has experienced defeats from fighters like: Jorge Masvidal and Tyron Woodley.

In preparation for the UFC 242 press conference scheduled for Thursday, White gave some information regarding Darren on BTSport, saying the about to happen fight is a strategy to make Darren meet Leon.

“We were talking about it today,” he said of Till’s next fight. “We have a big matchmaking meeting tomorrow and that’s one of the things we’re working on.”

The possibility of Darren fighting Leon happens to be quite high. The involved parties happen to have a record of misunderstanding for a long time that is hoped to end in the cage.

“We talked about that too,” White said. “Those two don’t like each other. We might have to divide the country if we make that fight.

“I think that’s a massive fight in England.”

White added to his discussion the high chance of Darren moving up to the middleweight category – an unavoidable topic often discussed following how Till has been focused on making the 171-pound limit of the UFC welterweight division.

“He’s so big,” White said. “I like the idea of him doing that, but I don’t know. I don’t know what he’s thinking right now.”

Dana brought all his discussion at the interview to a close be giving Till some accolades.

“He’s a great kid and I like him a lot,” he said. “He’s still young, and he’s still learning and still growing. I still think he has an incredibly bright future.”
