Gabriel Santos, an undefeated prospect, will step in to replace Nathaniel Wood and face Lerone Murphy at UFC 286.

Gabriel Santos, an undefeated featherweight fighter, is set to replace Nathaniel Wood on short notice and make his octagon debut against Lerone Murphy at UFC 286 on March 18 at the O2 Arena in London, according to sources familiar with the matter as reported by Eurosport.

The event will be broadcast live on ESPN+ pay-per-view, featuring the welterweight championship trilogy bout between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman. Santos (10-0) captured the LFA 145-pound title by knocking out Brazilian prospect Jose Delano in his most recent bout in January, and holds a win over Elves Brener, who defeated Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC 284.

Murphy (11-0-1) has won his last three fights in the UFC, including knockout wins over Ricardo Ramos and Makwan Amirkhani, as well as a decision victory over Douglas Silva de Andrade, since his split draw against Tukhugov in his debut
