Esteemed MMA commentator Joe Rogan is set to make a comeback on the sidelines for the latest UFC pay-per-view event in Miami. Several individuals in the know about the organizing committee’s plans have confirmed to MMA Fighting that Rogan will be joining fellow commentators Jon Anik and Daniel Cormier for UFC 287. This event will be hosted at the Miami-Dade Arena and the main attraction of the evening will be a middleweight championship rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya.
To be precise, Rogan was last on the call for the UFC 285 event in March, in the headlining bout of which Jon Jones captured the heavyweight championship. However, for the UFC 286 event in London that took place two weeks later, Rogan was not enlisted as a commentator. This is reportedly because he doesn’t typically work the international pay-per-view events.
Aside from Joe Rogan, the rest of the commentary team for the forthcoming event on Saturday consists of Megan Olivi, who will be the roving reporter for the night. Additionally, Dustin Poirier, known for his active participation in the MMA scene, is set to make his debut as a desk analyst. He will be joining Michael Eaves and Din Thomas in dissecting and discussing the night’s events.
