Brandon Moreno, is scheduled to defend his title against Alexandre Pantoja (25-5) in a highly anticipated bout at UFC 290. This thrilling match will bring to a close the promotion’s International Fight Week on July 8 in Las Vegas.

The UFC Chief Business Officer, Hunter Campbell, also confirmed the delightful news, much to the excitement and anticipation of MMA enthusiasts worldwide. This title defense is not the first encounter between the two warriors. Currently ranked as the No.1 and No.6 professionals in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings.

Moreno and Pantoja previously met in a two-round bout in 2016, during a flyweight season of The Ultimate Fighter. However, they had another showdown in May 2018 at UFC Chile, where Pantoja earned a unanimous decision victory.

Since their previous encounter, both Moreno and Pantoja have enjoyed tremendous success in their respective careers. Moreno (21-6-2) has attained his second reign as UFC flyweight champion following his tetralogy fight against Deiveson Figueiredo, while Pantoja boasts six victories from his last eight fights.

Alongside the Moreno-Pantoja fight, MMA enthusiasts can also look forward to a season-ending featherweight title unification battle between the undefeated Alexander Volkanovski and interim champion Yair Rodriguez.

The entire MMA community awaits the outcome of these thrilling events with bated breath, eager to see if Moreno can avenge his previous losses to Pantoja and continue to reign supreme as the flyweight champion in this highly anticipated July 8th UFC event.
