The highly anticipated flyweight bout pitting Kai Kara-France against Amir Albazi has been given top billing for the upcoming UFC Vegas 74 card, taking place on June 3 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. Both fighters confirmed the news after an injury forced Jack Hermansson to withdraw from his fight with Brendan Allen, prompting the UFC to promote Kara-France and Albazi to the headline fight.
Kara-France is eager to bounce back from his last outing, where he suffered a defeat at the hands of reigning UFC flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno. Prior to that loss, the New Zealand fighter claimed victory in three straight fights, including a knockout victory over former UFC bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt.
Meanwhile, Albazi, the 29-year-old Iraqi born fighter, is looking to keep his perfect record in the UFC intact by defeating Kara-France. Albazi is currently enjoying a five-fight win streak, with an impressive 4-0 resume in the UFC, including three victories by way of knockout or submission.
Although the full card and bout order have yet to be announced by the UFC, fans can now eagerly anticipate Kara-France and Albazi duking it out in the highly anticipated main event.
