Top-ranked female boxers Amanda Serrano and Heather Hardy will have a rematch as co-main event during Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz

The highly anticipated co-main event bout between Amanda Serrano and Heather Hardy has been officially announced by Most Valuable Promotions for the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz card on August 5th.

Serrano will defend her featherweight championship titles against Hardy in a 10-round rematch. To date, Serrano has won the WBA, WBC, WBO, IBO and Ring titles at the 126-pound weight class.

This highly-anticipated rematch follows after Serrano’s recent win over Erika Cruz, where she earned her undisputed status after snagging the WBA title earlier this year. This will be Serrano’s second straight victory, after losing to Katie Taylor in April 2022. Serrano fell short of claiming Taylor’s lightweight titles in that bout.

The first time Serrano and Hardy faced off was in September 2019, where Serrano emerged victorious by unanimous decision. However, Hardy has only fought once since then, losing to Jessica Camara by decision in May 2021. Despite this, Serrano seems ready and excited to have a second go with Hardy.

Serrano is looking forward to fighting in Texas for the first time and promises to deliver an amazing fight. Both Serrano and Hardy have competed in MMA, with Serrano going 2-0-1 from 2018 to 2021 and Hardy going 2-2 in the Bellator cage.

If Serrano wins, Most Valuable Promotions co-founder says that they will look to arrange a rematch with Katie Taylor in Ireland. Bidarian, who is co-founder, praised Serrano as one of the most elite and decorated athletes in the history of women’s boxing. The fight will be held on August 5th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
