BKFC is anticipating Paige VanZant’s comeback for an upcoming fight

After almost two years away from the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), former UFC fighter Paige VanZant is reportedly in talks to return for at least one more fight, according to BKFC President David Feldman. Although nothing is confirmed, preliminary discussions have been had about VanZant’s potential opponent.

Feldman has suggested that Felice Herrig, another former UFC fighter who signed with BKFC nearly a year ago, could be a potential match-up for VanZant. The two previously fought in the UFC in 2015, with VanZant winning via unanimous decision.

Despite building a successful career online, VanZant has stated that she is ready for more challenges in the ring. Since her unsuccessful debut for BKFC, VanZant has been training hard and is eager to prove herself. Feldman has expressed admiration for VanZant’s drive and her desire to continually better herself.

After losing to Britain Hart and Rachael Ostovich in her two prior BKFC fights, VanZant’s last scheduled fight in August 2020 against Charisa Sigala was cancelled just days before it was due to take place. It remains to be seen when exactly VanZant will make her return to the fighting world, but with preliminary discussions having already taken place, fans of the former UFC star may not have to wait too long.

With a big BKFC card planned for September, Feldman has stated he would be open to booking VanZant and Herrig, if possible, to fight on the same night. While many believe that VanZant’s earnings off the internet would allow her to retire from fighting, she has shown no signs of stopping, and certainly has the backing of her BKFC team.

All in all, BKFC President David Feldman is pleased to announce that there has been a conversation between Paige VanZant and the team about the fighter’s return. Though they have not yet specified an opponent for her next match, her fans will be happy to learn that her return is on the cards.
