Sean Strickland is confident that a UFC Vegas 76 victory would earn him a shot at Israel Adesanya’s title

Sean Strickland is aiming for a shot at the UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya. Strickland missed his opportunity for a title shot against Adesanya after losing to Alex Pereira at UFC 276 in Las Vegas almost a year ago. Despite this setback, Strickland has been working hard and staying active with two more fights under his belt since then, with another scheduled against Abusupiyan Magomedov at UFC Vegas 76. Strickland is confident that this next fight will put him back on the path to victory after his recent win against Nassourdine Imavov.

Strickland would love to get a rematch with Adesanya and truly believes that he should be the one fighting him. The middleweight title picture is currently unclear after curious booking decisions, including matchups like Strickland vs. Magomedov, which have been met with confusion. However, Strickland is not complaining and will do his job as requested. He agrees that the matchmaking is wrong, but he will keep fighting and making money until he gets another shot at the title.
