Sources close to the UFC have revealed that a featherweight face-off between Austin Lingo and Melquizael Costa has been confirmed for UFC Vegas 77 on July 15th. This highly-anticipated Fight Night event will take place at the renowned UFC APEX and boasts a headline five-round bantamweight match-up between revered former champion, Holly Holm, and rising star Mayra Bueno Silva.
Lingo, a seasoned MMA fighter with a record of 9-2, will be seeking redemption in this fight as he returns to the 145-pound division. Despite his recent loss to Nate Landwear in March, Lingo has shown his prowess as a formidable featherweight inside the octagon with two back-to-back wins against Jacob Kilburn and Luis Saldana.
Meanwhile, LFA veteran, Melquizael Costa (19-6), will aim to put his past behind him following a submission defeat against Thiago Moises in his debut UFC appearance. Prior to his UFC contract, Costa won an impressive seven out of his last eight fights, with five of those wins claimed by stoppage.
With both fighters determined to prove themselves as top contenders, this featherweight showdown is set to be a crowd-pleaser. MMA fans around the world will be eagerly anticipating this must-see event, as two skilled athletes battle it out in the octagon at UFC Vegas 77.
