In an upcoming UFC Fight Night event on Aug. 12, seasoned MMA fighters Polyana Viana and Iasmin Lucindo will be facing off in a strawweight contest, according to sources with knowledge of the booking. Headlined by the welterweights Rafael dos Anjos and Vicente Luque, the UFC Vegas card promises to be an exciting event for fans.
Viana, who boasts a record of 13-5, is set to return to the cage after two cancelled matches with Emily Ducote in April and May of 2023. The Chute Boxe athlete has proven her worth in the past, having made quick work of Jinh Yu Frey in her most recent appearance in November 2022, and with a 3-1 record in her previous four fights.
Lucindo, on the other hand, is coming off a flyweight showdown last April, where she won a decision against Brogan Walker. Despite her youth at 21 years of age, the fighter has already made waves in the MMA industry, winning eight of her past nine matches, with only one loss – a decision defeat at the hands of Yazmin Jauregui in her octagon debut.
As August approaches, fans of the sport eagerly await the upcoming UFC Fight Night event, where they can expect to see two highly skilled and experienced fighters face off in an intense bout. The stage is set for Viana and Lucindo to showcase their talents and prove themselves once again in the octagon.
