Artur Szpilka emerged victorious in a stunning performance at KSW Colosseum 2, delivering a knockout blow to Mariusz Pudzianowski. In the initial stages of the bout, Pudzianowski utilized his strength advantage and successfully took Szpilka down, maintaining control on the ground. However, Szpilka was quick to find his feet in the second round and his accurate punches inflicted damage on Pudzianowski.
Within seconds of the start of the second round, Szpilka threw both a left and right hook forcing Pudzianowski to crumple face-first onto the canvas. The referee swiftly intervened, awarding Szpilka the TKO win only 31 seconds into the second round.
This loss marked Pudzianowski’s second consecutive defeat, having been stopped in the initial round by experienced MMA fighter Mamed Khalidov. Despite an impressive record of 17-9 in the KSW cage, Pudzianowski has at times been inconsistent in his performances.
On the other hand, Szpilka, with eight years of professional boxing experience under his belt, has now triumphed in his third MMA bout following his defeats to Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora, victories over lesser known opponents, and his foray into the MMA.
