Veteran Jim Miller secures his 14th bonus with a knockout victory during UFC Vegas 74 post-fight awards ceremony

Jim Miller continues to make history in the Octagon, securing his 14th UFC performance bonus for his outstanding performance at UFC Vegas 74. Miller marked his 42nd appearance in the Octagon with a stunning knockout victory over Jesse Butler. Miller, the record holder for the most UFC wins, accomplished this feat with a pair of powerful left hands against Butler, who slumped to the ground in just 23 seconds, leaving him slumped against the cage.

Following his triumph, the seasoned fighter is only two finishes away from beating current UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira’s record of 19 stoppages, with Miller sitting on an impressive 17 stoppages. Demonstrating his experience and versatility, the fighter received most of his bonuses for rear-naked choke submissions.

Aside from Miller’s outstanding win, there were other UFC standouts that were rewarded for their performances, such as co-headliners Alex Caceres and Daniel Pineda, who garnered “Fight of the Night” honors. The two fighters engaged in a highly intense match for three rounds before Caceres emerged victorious with a unanimous decision. Caceres has now won a total of seven performance bonuses.

The remaining “Performance of the Night” award was given to Muhammad Naimov, who stopped Jamie Malarkey in the prelim fights. This was Naimov’s first-ever performance bonus after his successful debut at the UFC.

Overall, UFC Vegas 74 was a night filled with impressive Octagon performances and exciting feats, with seasoned fighters continuing to smash records and newcomers fighting hard to prove their worth.
