Boxer John Gotti III claims Floyd Mayweather is his lifelong foe and seeks Conor McGregor’s support

Boxer John Gotti III is not backing down from his feud with Floyd Mayweather. The two clashed in an exhibition match in Sunrise, Florida on Sunday night, which was overshadowed by the pair’s entourages who impeded corncermen, causing delays to the fight. Referee Kenny Bayless stopped the fight in the sixth round, after the fighters were jawing at each other and ignoring his admonishments.

Mayweather was the clear winner and dominated Gotti III throughout the fight. However, Gotti was still angry after the event and took to social media to express his dissatisfaction with the circumstances surrounding the fight’s conclusion.

Gotti claimed that the disqualification made no sense, as Mayweather had never put him down or stopped him. Gotti even tagged UFC star and Mayweather’s rival, Conor McGregor, asking for his support. McGregor and Mayweather have a long history of insults, mutual respect, and box-office smash hits.

The two squared off in an August 2017 cross-over boxing bout, which was seen as one of the most lucrative in the history of combat sports. Mayweather emerged victoriously by TKO in Round 10.
