Julianna Peña claims she is the top female fighter in MMA and dismisses the featherweight category as illegitimate

Julianna Peña seems to have a high opinion of herself as a warrior rather than a fighter. She believes herself to be the greatest fighter of all time, even surpassing Amanda Nunes. Peña and Nunes have a longstanding feud, with Peña previously submitting Nunes in a fight and Nunes winning a rematch shortly after.

Peña believes she still has a one-up on Nunes, as she submitted her in their previous fight. Additionally, Peña does not consider Nunes’ featherweight title reign to be legitimate, as she believes there were not enough fighters in the division to consider it a real championship.

Nunes’ record of eight title defenses puts her in contention for the title of greatest female fighter of all time, but Peña believes it is her own warrior spirit that sets her apart from other fighters. Despite Peña’s confidence, it remains to be seen whether she can truly surpass Nunes and take her place atop the list of female MMA fighters.
