Francis Ngannou is unsure about Tyson Fury’s actions and addresses Dana White’s suggestion for Jones vs. Fury

Francis Ngannou is finding it difficult to keep up with the changing views of boxing champion Tyson Fury. When asked about Fury’s latest comments at PFL 5, Ngannou expressed confusion and said, “At this point of stage, I’m a little confused… I don’t know if he’s, like, enjoying doing comments or enjoying fighting at this point.”

Despite the confusion, Ngannou’s team has been in touch with Fury’s team to arrange a fight but nothing has been confirmed as yet. Ngannou has been wanting to fight Fury for three years, and he is still keen to face him.

Recently, Fury made a claim that the UFC sent him an offer for a “hybrid rules fight” with UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones. Fury has been engaging in a public back-and-forth with Jones and UFC president Dana White over a potential superfight between the two stars. This is a position that Ngannou knows well.

Ngannou has been in talks with Fury’s team for a superfight for years, and he even made a surprise appearance in the ring alongside Fury in April 2022 following Fury’s win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.

Ngannou’s desire to box Fury, or any other heavyweight boxing star, was one of the reasons he left the UFC as they resisted the idea. Ngannou is aware that White suddenly seems very interested in getting something done between Jones and Fury.

Ngannou, however, is not fazed by this change and says that he will continue standing strong. He has been in talks with Deontay Wilder, and his relationship with Jones is positive, and he has ambitious goals for the future of his boxing career.

Overall, Ngannou is ready to face anyone and is waiting for Fury to make a decision as to whether he wants to fight or not. The ball is in Fury’s court, and Ngannou is just waiting to hear back.
