Jared Cannonier and Marvin Vettori made an indelible impression with their resounding performance at UFC Vegas 75, not only competing in what is being deemed the Fight of the Year, but also securing an additional $50,000.
Cannonier and Vettori’s relentless five-round battle earned them jointly the coveted Fight of the Night award during Saturday’s UFC card. Despite an early set back, Cannonier managed to overpower Vettori with his incredible performance, shattering the UFC’s previous record for the highest number of significant strikes thrown in a middleweight fight.
Manuel Torres and Alessandro Costa were recognized for their exceptional performances at the event with the coveted Performance of the Night awards, each earning an extra $50,000. Torres’ breathtaking standing elbow knockout of Nikolas Motta, which took place on the main card, and Costa’s ruthless second-round grounded elbow assault of Jimmy Flick during the prelims garnered great attention.
