Kai Kara-France, aspiring UFC champion, eyes Tim Elliot as his next opponent for UFC 293

Kai Kara-France is already looking ahead to his next fight, despite believing that he should not have lost his last bout against Amir Albazi. The controversial split decision delivered against Kara-France in the main event of UFC Vegas 74 has left the New Zealand fighter eager to move on.

While Kara-France has declared his dissatisfaction with the judges’ ruling, Kara-France has stated his intention to focus on his upcoming fight and not dwell on the past. His next fight is likely to take place in Sydney in September, and he is hoping to face a top-10 contender.

One contender he has in mind is Tim Elliot, a fighter who has called Kara-France out multiple times. As teammates of the current middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, Kara-France and Elliot have a history from when they were both on The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions cast. While Elliot was the top overall pick and went on to win the tournament, Kara-France was the last man chosen and lost in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Now, years later, Kara-France is confident that he can take on Elliot and win. If the fight does not materialize, Kara-France insists that he is ready to fight whoever the UFC assigns to face him. With a strong team behind him, he believes that he is capable of delivering a major comeback. The fighter remains undeterred by his recent losses and eager to showcase his skills in his next fight.
