The recent PFL 5 fight card in Atlanta saw five fighters take home the highest payout of $100,000 each. The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission shared this news on Sunday. Ante Delija, the 2022 PFL heavyweight champion, claimed the top spot with a $100,000 payday after beating Maurice Greene in the main event.
Sadly, Delija missed out on the first fight of the season, resulting in him missing the playoffs. This means he will have to watch from the sidelines as four different heavyweights battle it out for the $1 million grand prize.
In the co-main event, Larissa Pacheco also earned $100,000 for her dominant win over Amber Leibrock that ended in a first-round finish. Pacheco earned the No.1 overall seed in the featherweight division and is looking to claim a second $1 million prize after a shocking victory over two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison.
Denis Goltsov earned $100,000 after his rapid-fire victory over UFC veteran Yorgan De Castro, which secured his spot as the No.1 seed in the 2023 PFL playoffs.
Aspen Ladd, a former UFC fighter, also took home $100,000 for her submission win over Karolina Sobek. However, despite a 1-1 record in her first season with the PFL, she failed to earn enough points to make it to the playoffs.
Finally, former Bellator featherweight champion Julia Budd secured a $100,000 payout for her win over Martina Jindrova. Unfortunately, Budd also could not acquire enough points to move forward into the playoffs.
