UFC 292 in Boston will feature a match between Henry Cejudo and Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera

Having recently returned to the Octagon after his retirement, Henry Cejudo is wasting no time with an upcoming match against Marlon “Chito” Vera at the highly anticipated UFC 292 card in Boston scheduled for August 19th. UFC President, Dana White, confirmed the pairing.

Although Cejudo was unable to regain the 135-pound title in his bid against Aljamain Sterling, he made it clear that he wanted to return to the ring sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, his first-choice opponent, Merab Dvalishvili, was unable to compete due to hand surgery. However, Cejudo will continue with his plan to fight on the same card as Sterling, with Vera as his opponent instead.

Whilst Vera didn’t experience a win in his previous fight against Corey Sandhagen, losing his highly valued four-match winning streak, he still remains an impressive contender in the bantamweight category. Previously taking down big names including Dominick Cruz, Rob Font, and Frankie Edgar, Vera has been steadily climbing up the ranks.

For this particular match, Vera will attempt to showcase his talent by adding Cejudo to his winning list when they meet for a featured bout at UFC 292 in Boston.
