UFC Nashville announces Jessica Andrade vs. Tatiana Suarez, along with additional fight matchups

The upcoming UFC Nashville card scheduled for August 5th will feature a highly anticipated strawweight fight between former champion Jessica Andrade and the undefeated contender Tatiana Suarez. The bout, which was announced by UFC officials, is expected to serve as the co-main event at the Bridgestone Arena.

Originally, Suarez was slated to take on Virna Jandiroba, but the Brazilian athlete sustained a knee injury requiring surgery. In Jandiroba’s absence, Andrade, who is seeking to bounce back after recent losses to Yao Xioanan and Erin Blanchfield, will step in to face off against Suarez.

Suarez boasts an impressive record, including six straight wins in the UFC, two of which came against ex-strawweight champion Carla Esparza and reigning flyweight queen Alexa Grasso. After a lengthy hiatus due to injury, Suarez returned to the Octagon earlier this year and secured a submission victory against Montana De La Rosa. With her eyes set on maintaining her undefeated streak, Suarez is preparing to face another formidable opponent in Andrade.

The co-main event slot for Andrade vs. Suarez could not be more fitting, as the bantamweights Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov will also clash in a five-round main event. Additional fights set to take place at UFC Nashville include Tanner Boser vs. Aleksa Camur, Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Ludovit Klein, Dustin Jacoby vs. Kennedy Nzechukwu, Billy Quarantillo vs. Damon Jackson, Ovince Saint Preux vs. Ion Cutelaba, Tagir Ulanbekov vs. Jake Hadley, Said Nurmagomedov vs. Kyler Phillips, Ode Osbourne vs. Assu Almabayev, Jeremiah Wells vs. Carlston Harris, and Sean Woodson vs. Steve Garcia.
