In the LFA 160 fight between Josiah Harrell and Mike Roberts, the referee made the right call when it came to one memorable moment in their fight. During a hard-fought battle in Owensboro, Kentucky, undefeated Harrell executed a takedown on Roberts that sent him through the cage door. Although Roberts didn’t realize what had happened at first, the referee swiftly assessed the situation before declaring that the moment was going viral.

Harrell, who was engaged in a dialogue with his opponent’s coaches before the incident, wasn’t intending to test the structural integrity of the cage. Nonetheless, he lined up perfectly with the cage door and seized the opportunity, executing a shot without thinking twice – only to realize that the cage was no longer there when he tried to lift up. Although the incident caused a delay in the fight, it resumed on, and Harrell managed to achieve a TKO stoppage shortly afterwards.

Despite the viral attention that followed, Harrell was determined to keep going and was confident that his opponent hadn’t sustained any injuries. He subsequently switched back to the fight and ramped up the pace between the two fighters, hoping to break Roberts before the fight’s conclusion. Harrell is optimistic that he will get a shot on the Contender Series and aims to be signed by UFC by December.
