UFC 292 in Boston to feature clash between Rob Font and Song Yadong

The upcoming UFC 292 event will feature a highly anticipated bantamweight showdown between Rob Font and Song Yadong. Set to take place at Boston’s TD Garden on August 19, the UFC officials officially confirmed this matchup earlier this week.

Having experienced back-to-back losses, Font recently made a strong comeback against Adrian Yanez this April, winning via a first-round knockout and receiving the well-deserved Performance of the Night bonus. Font holds a record of 5-2 in his last seven fights, including victories over the likes of ex-UFC champion Cody Garbrandt, current Bellator champion Sergio Pettis, and Ricky Simon.

On the other hand, Song is known as a highly promising fighter who has been gradually climbing up the 135-pound rankings. Although he suffered a defeat to Cory Sandhagen in September last year, Song managed to bounce back with a win over Simon in April this year, winning four of his last five fights.

For Song, defeating a seasoned veteran like Font would be a major achievement and potentially the biggest win of his career. The two bantamweights will join a stacked card in Boston, which is headlined by the current 135-pound champion, Aljamain Sterling, putting his title on the line against Sean O’Malley.

Overall, this upcoming bantamweight matchup is expected to be a highly-competitive and thrilling clash between two talented fighters.
