Forecasting the outcomes of UFC matches in Jacksonville

In UFC Jacksonville, featherweight contenders Josh Emmett and Ilia Topuria face off in a fight that may be the last chance for Emmett to prove his worth. Although Emmett recently fought for an interim title, it is uncertain he will receive another chance if he can’t beat Topuria. Should Topuria emerge victorious, he may become the automatic No. 1 contender after Alexander Volkanovski defends his title against Yair Rodriguez.

The card also features a fight between two-division threat Amanda Ribas and Maycee Barber, as well as a heavy-weight fight between Austen Lane and Justin Tafa. In other main card action, David Onama faces off against Gabriel Santos in a battle of featherweight prospects, and Brendan Allen fights Bruno Silva.

In the Josh Emmett vs. Ilia Topuria fight, Topuria is the clear favorite, as he is viewed as the leader of the featherweight youth movement while Emmett just turned 38. While Emmett has overcome his underdog status before, as he frequently is, Topuria’s versatility may be too much for Emmett to handle.

Topuria’s mixed martial arts skills and potential to hit his athletic peak at just 26 years old make him a strong opponent for Emmett, who will need to keep the fight on the feet to have a chance. Other fights on the card include Maycee Barber vs. Amanda Ribas, Austen Lane vs. Justin Tafa, David Onama vs. Gabriel Santos, and Brendan Allen vs. Bruno Silva.
