UFC Kansas City sees Edson Barboza receive 11th bonus after stunning knockout victory, adding to his impressive UFC accolades

Edson Barboza’s UFC career is set to be adorned with a plethora of post-fight bonuses. The 37-year-old featherweight recently secured his eleventh award, adding an impressive $50,000 to his coffers for his knockout of Billy Quarantillo during UFC Kansas City’s co-main event. He was, one of three Performance of the Night winners from the event and was among seven fighters who won bonuses overall.

Brandon Royval and Gillian Robertson were the two other Performance of the Night awardees for their outstanding finishes on the preliminary card, while Bill Algeo and T.J. Brown shared a cash prize of $50,000 for their Fight of the Night featherweight battle, which was eventually won by Algeo via a second-round rear-naked choke.

UFC president Dana White also disclosed in his post-fight press conference that Zak Cummings and Ed Herman, two longstanding UFC veterans who both announced their retirement after Cummings’ unanimous decision win on Saturday night, would each receive a bonus of $50,000.

UFC Kansas City was carried out on April 15, 2021, at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri with Max Holloway defeating Arnold Allen via a unanimous decision in the main event.
