Featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski has expressed his desire to remain active, with two outstanding performances in 2022 against Chan Sung Jung and Max Holloway. After failing to take the lightweight crown from Islam Makhachev at UFC 284, Volkanovski has pledged to unify the featherweight division alongside interim champion Yair Rodriguez at UFC 290 on July 8.

While top lightweight contenders Charles Oliveira and Beneil Dariush prepare to contend for the next shot at Makhachev, Volkanovski remains confident in his double champion aspirations.
