ONE: Dawn of Heroes – Demetrious Johnson, Eddie Alvarez back in action

Former UFC champions, Eddie Alvarez and Demetrious Johnson’s appearance on the next ONE championship has bee. Made official. The 2nd of August in Manila, Philippines has been fixed for the return of these fighters, at ONE: Dawn of Heroes.

Alvarez’s return would be with a fight against Eduard Folayang, two-time ONE champion. The event would signify Alvarez’s to recover from the defeat he encountered during a fight he had with Timofey Nastyukhin, also for Eduard to also get over the defeat he suffered from losing to Shinya Aoki.

Demetrious on the other hand, would be meeting Tatsumitsu of Japan in ONE’s Flyweight World Grand Prix’s second round. Demetrious made it to the semifinals through a submission at the second-round of the Yuya Wakamatsu game held in March, while Tatsumitsu’s victory over Gustavo Balart on the other hand, made him get passed the quarterfinals.

The fixture would as well feature the other semifinal fight of ONE’s Flyweight World Grand Prix, where Kairat Akhmetov, former champ hopes to gain by Danny Kingad of Team Lakay.

Featuring also on the event card is Lightweight Grand Prix semifinal fight between Honorio Banario and Timofey Nastyukhin. Nastyukhin’s meeting was to be with Lowen Tynanes of Hawaii, this wasn’t possible due to the injury sustained by Tynanes.

ONE’s Dawn of Heroes’ event bill would be ranked by a ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title bout between Rodtang Jitmuangon (all-action Thai star) and the new champ Jonathan Haggerty.

Below is a complete fixture that has so far been released. It would be an understatement to call this stacked.
