Bellator fans are in for a treat as two of its top featherweights go toe-to-toe at the highly-anticipated Bellator Dublin this fall. Mads Burnell and Daniel Weichel have been officially announced to face-off in a heated competition on September 23 at the 3Arena, as confirmed by Bellator officials.
Burnell, coming off a triumphant unanimous decision victory over Justin Gonzales during the Bellator 295 event in Hawaii, has already set his sights on his next opponent, Weichel. On the other hand, Weichel, a seasoned fighter with 18 promotional appearances, will be seeking to bounce back from his previous loss to Timur Khizriev in Bellator 288 last November.
The excitement doesn’t stop there. Another thrilling featherweight match-up between Irish star Brian Moore and the newcomer, Otto Rodrigues, has also been announced. Although this will be the first time for Rodrigues to compete under the Bellator banner, he was initially scheduled to clash with Aaron Pico in April at Bellator 295. Unfortunately, he had to withdraw from the bout due to unforeseen circumstances.
The main event for Bellator Dublin features an epic middleweight title battle between Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards. Fans can expect electrifying matchups throughout the event at the 3Arena.
